Stock market update: Nifty IT index falls 0.11% in an upbeat market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded negative around 10:14AM(IST)on Thursday in an upbeat market.

L&T Technology(up 0.23 per cent), Tata Consultancy(up 0.2 per cent) and Infosys(up 0.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.

LTIMindtree Ltd(down 0.66 per cent), MPhasis(down 0.62 per cent), Wipro(down 0.53 per cent), Coforge(down 0.47 per cent) and Tech Mahindra(down 0.4 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty IT index was down 0.11 per cent at 30740.65 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 7.5 points at 17864.2, while the BSE Sensex was up 19.42 points at 60683.21.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 19 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., , , and PNB were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of

, , Manugraph India, and hit their fresh 52-week highs in today’s trade, while Piramal Pharma Ltd., , , and hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
