Investing can be a maze, with so many things to choose from – stocks, bonds, exchange-traded funds, crypto… the list goes on. How do we choose the right products to make our money work harder for us? Business correspondent Cheow Sue-Ann did an experiment recently to find out if she could beat the market by picking three hot stocks.
In the second episode of We Try First’s new season, she learns how investors can protect their money as they build their portfolios, and tune out noise in the market. One tip is to have a barbell strategy, with growth assets such as the tech stocks she picked, along with instruments that provide regular dividend and interest payments.
