Venture capitalists invested $36.2 million in Waterloo Region’s tech sector during the second quarter of 2024, bringing the total for the first half of the year to $88.2 million.

When compared to the April-May-June period of 2023, the amount is down significantly. In that quarter last year Miovision raised $296 million of $302 million.
