Chevron, UnitedHealth share gains contribute to Dow's 150-point climb

Shares of Chevron and UnitedHealth are posting strong returns Friday afternoon, sending the Dow Jones Industrial Average into positive territory. The Dow is trading 156 points (0.5%) higher, as shares of Chevron and UnitedHealth are contributing about 25% of the blue-chip gauge’s intraday rally. Chevron’s shares are up $3.72, or 2.2%, while those of UnitedHealth are up $9.41, or 1.9%, combining for an approximately 87-point bump for the Dow. Also contributing significantly to the gain are Walgreens Boots Walmart and IBM A $1 move in any of the benchmark’s 30 components equates to a 6.59-point swing.
